For scale, the largest News & Politics community we track is r/worldnews with 47,479,601 members — roughly 176 times the size of r/NewSkaters. Reddit itself launched in 2005, so a subreddit created in 2012 sits in the middle wave of community building on the platform. Subscriber counts indicate reach, not activity — a large community can be quiet, and a smaller one busy.
