For scale, the largest Art & Design community we track is r/EarthPorn with 23,638,997 members — roughly 12 times the size of r/animation. Reddit itself launched in 2005, so a subreddit created in 2008 sits in the early wave of community building on the platform. Subscriber counts indicate reach, not activity — a large community can be quiet, and a smaller one busy.
