Deleting a Reddit account takes about two minutes. Doing it properly — so your posts, comments, and data don't outlive the account — takes longer, and most people get it wrong. The single biggest misconception: deleting your account does not delete your content. Everything you ever posted stays on Reddit, attributed to a generic "[deleted]" user, unless you remove it yourself first.
